Healthy Living
It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men and women.

Glenrosa Elementary takes a healthy life choices seriously.
We are particularly proud to be involved with the Central Okanagan School District's Brown Bag lunch program to ensure that everyone has a well balanced lunch - families that require this support can contact the office.
It is our expectation that students will eat a healthy snack during the morning snack time.  We aim for these items to be either a fruit or vegetable.
The fruit and vegetable snack program will take place again in our school as we are now in the fifth year of this program. Twice a month, our students are provided with the opportunity to have a special snack - a fruit or vegetable - sometimes we even have leftovers, so students can help themselves to a second helping. For the second year, all students in Kindergarten - Grade 5 will also receive a serving of white milk along with the healthy snack.
The students have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of fruits and vegetables that are provided through this very nutritious program.

Our PAC also encourages the proper choices with healthy food options for our Fun Lunch Fridays.

We encourage all classes to utilize the Daily Physical Activity time.  It is part of our class routines, and demonstrates that building daily healthy physical activity into our day is a priority for our Glenrosa Grizzlies.
