At École Glenorsa Elementary, our vision is "Nurturing Relationships to Foster Success."

We believe that strong relationships are at the heart of learning. When students feel safe, valued, and connected, they develop the confidence to take risks, embrace challenges, and discover their potential. Together, students, staff, families, and community members create a culture where everyone belongs and every individual is supported to thrive.

Our school is committed to fostering an inclusive and caring environment where empathy, respect, and meaningful connections guide our work. We recognize and celebrate the diverse experiences, identities, and strengths that each learner brings to our community. Through these relationships, we build a sense of belonging that helps students develop resilience, well-being, and a positive sense of self.

At GRE, we believe learning is most powerful when it is engaging, relevant, and meaningful. We strive to create deeper learning opportunities that encourage students to think critically, solve problems creatively, collaborate with others, and make connections between their learning and the world around them. Curiosity, reflection, and perseverance are essential elements of the learning journey.

Our work is grounded in British Columbia's Core Competencies, helping students develop the communication, critical and creative thinking, and personal and social awareness needed to succeed in an ever-changing world. We want our learners not only to acquire skills and knowledge, but also to discover their passions, recognize their strengths, and develop confidence in their ability to make a positive difference.

We continue to nurture a growth mindset and a hopeful outlook in our students. We encourage learners to view challenges as opportunities, understand that mistakes are a valuable part of learning, and believe that effort, strategy, and support can lead to growth. Hope gives us the courage to persevere, adapt, and continue moving forward when learning becomes difficult.

At GRE, we are committed to building a school community where relationships inspire success, learning has purpose, and every student is empowered to belong, grow, and flourish.
